International Buddhist Progress Society, North Carolina

IBPS Temple at North Carolina

IBPS North Carolina is a branch of Fo Guang Shan (Mount Buddha Radiance) International Buddhist Order in Taiwan with over 200 worldwide affiliates.

Procured in March 2001, the 3-acre IBPS North Carolina is the site of planned facilities, including a Buddha and meditation hall, a tea house and dining hall, and classrooms. It will provide a multifunctional Buddhist learning center for the public upon completion of the facilities.

Currently, IBPS North Carolina offers group devotional services on Saturdays and Sundays in Raleigh and Chapel Hill. Other activities include discourses on Buddhism and various Buddhist ceremonies. In addition to its home state, IBPS North Carolina also provides Dharma preaching activities for neighboring states, such as Virginia, Washington, D.C., and Maryland.

Embracing the vision of our founder, Venerable Master Hsing Yun, IBPS North Carolina strives to serve our congregation and our community by conducting devotional and meditation services, sponsoring cultural events, and engaging in charity work. Our ultimate goal is to foster peace and harmony among all people of the world.
